| August 8th, 2004 | The 10th Golf Tournament at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club was chaired by Ms. Roslyn Tsao and Dr. Ying Seid, and netted over $7,000 for the Foundation. |
| 2003 | The Chinese Canadian Medical Society (Ontario) donated an additional $20,000 during the year to increase its Entrance Scholarship in Medicine at the University of Toronto to the amount of $2,500, and also the Awards in Anatomy and Metabolism to $500 each. |

| September, 2003 | The Chinese Canadian Pharmacists Association established a new Entrance Scholarship in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. An additional Scholarship was also set up by the Foundation at the Glenn Gould Professional School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. |

| 2001 | Congratulations were given to two of our honorary advisors for the great honors they received. Mrs. Yvonne Chiu was awarded the Order of Canada, and was also selected as one of the Great Minds of University of Toronto on the occasion of its 175th Anniversary. Dr. Lap Chee Tsui (also our very First Award of Merit Winner) was selected to be the new President/Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong. |
| September, 2001 | The Foundation set up 2 new awards at the Ontario College of Art and Design, and a new Entrance Scholarship in Nursing at the University of Toronto. The John & Yvonne Chiu Award in Genetics was set up at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. |

| May 31st, 2001 | The Trust Fund stood at $860,000. This, together with additional pledges, would be well over $900,000. So, since the beginning of the campaign of "million by the millennium", we managed to raise over $300,000 in less than three years. At the start of Foundation in1984, we also succeeded to raise over $300,000 in the initial 3 years. This is heartwarming to see the continuous support of the Foundation's worthwhile goals of promoting higher education and academic excellence, and helping the needy students to deal with their financial hardships. |
| September, 2000 | Zindart Foundation (with its donation of $50,000) started to have their 5 awards given out, 2 in Dentistry and 2 in Nursing at the University of Toronto, and one in Business at IVEY School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. A new Entrance Scholarship in Pharmacy was also set up by the Foundation at the University of Toronto. |

| September 18th, 1999 | The Foundation celebrated the 15th Anniversary at the Art Gallery of Ontario. A special "Excellence in the Millennium" Conference was chaired by Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, with 8 of previous and current Winners of the Award of Merit attending and sharing their special expertise and their thoughts on the approaching new millennium. It was a truly remarkable experience to hear 8 of internationally renowned scholars giving us unique insights into the future possibilities in the areas of acoustics, electronics, information technology, humanist education, human genome project, bioinformatics, genetic disorders, and urban neighborhood rehabilitation, all under one roof. The Gala reception, guided tour of the painting collection of the AGO, and the dinner were organized by Mrs. Yvonne Chiu, who also coordinated all the events of the entire day. The food including the reception hors d'oeuvres, was exquisite, being supervised by the gourmet chef of the Agora restaurant of the AGO, Anne Yarymowich. The tours were enthusiastically attended and enjoyed by everybody present. The party was entertained by 2 young winners of the education foundation music scholarships at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Miss Lilac Cana singing operatic arias, and Mr. David Jalbert performing at the piano. The event was well attended and supported. It also netted over $30,000 for the Foundation. |
| August 15th, 1999 | The 4th Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament continued to be a success, again netting over $15,000. It was held at Fawnbrook Golf Club. Another record-breaking 35 teams participated. Almost 200 people attended the award dinner. |
| May 31st, 1999 | The Trust Fund of the Foundation jumped from $600,000 last year to $775,000 this year. |
| January to May, 1999 | This is the 15 th Anniversary year of the Education Foundation. To plan for the celebration, the trustees also mounted the "Million by the Millennium" Fundraising campaign. Many responded, and over $150,000 were raised during the first five months of the year. These included the following: The Chinese Canadian Medical Society (Ontario) donated an additional $20,000 to increase the CCMS (Ont.) annual Entrance Scholarship to Medicine at the University of Toronto from $1,000 to $2,000, in view of the financial hardship facing the students with the increase in tuition fees. The Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club donated $60,000 towards setting two annual Lions Club scholarships of $1,500 each in Journalism, and Hospitality, at Ryerson. These will be administered by the Foundation. A Dr. Johnny Kar Lok Yip Memorial Scholarship ($2,500 annually) is to be setup at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, through the generous donation of $50,000 from Mrs. Wei C.S. Yip. The Zindart Foundation base in Hong Kong started their donation with $22,000 with further pledge of $30,000, to support a total of five Zindart scholarships in nursing, dentistry and business, at the University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario. |

| August 17th, 1997 | The 3rd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament was again held at the Thunderbird Golf Club. It was a huge success and a fun event, in addition to raising $12,000 for the Foundation. |
| July, 1997 | The Honorable Hilary M. Weston accepted to be the Honorary Patron of the Foundation. |
| August 18th, 1996 | The 2nd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament was held at the Thunderbird Golf Club. It was a great success, netting over $10,000. |
| October 14th, 1995 | Professor Julia Ching of the University of Toronto, an international scholar in the history of Chinese Thought and Religion, was honored with the Award of Merit at the FCCP 1995 Conference at the Inn on the Park. |
| August 20th, 1995 | The first fundraising tournament of the Foundation was organized by Mr. Michael Chan and Dr. Peter Lee. It was held at the Parkview Golf Club, and was a successful and enjoyable event. Nineteen teams participated. There were 130 donated prizes. The event netted over $3,600. |
| October 29th, 1994 | 10th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Arcadian Court in the Simpson's Tower in Toronto. 10th Year Special Award of Merit presented to Dr. Yuet Wai Kan, a most distinguished North American Chinese hematologist and a pioneer in molecular genetic research. |
| May 31st, 1994 | The Trust Fund stands at over $520,000. The Foundation has donated to date over $170,000 towards 45 scholarships and awards. A total of 37 students have benefited from the Interest-freeload program. 10 distinguished Chinese Canadians have received the distinguished Award of Merit for their outstanding achievements in their own fields. |
| January 24th, 1994 | Special Dinner held in honour of the Honourable David Lam, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The 1992 Award of Merit was officially presented to his honour. |
| May 31st, 1993 | The Trust Fund surpassed the half million-dollar mark, standing at $510,000. |
| November 24th, 1992 | The Honourable Henry N. R. Jackman, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario hosted a special reception in honour of the Trustees of the Foundation and members of the FCCP Board of Directors. |
| June, 1992 | The Honourable David Lam, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, was selected as the 1992 winner of Award of Merit. |
| April 10th, 1992 | Roman Tam Benefit Concert raised $40,000 to go into a special fund to be administered by the Foundation. The income derived from the special Fund will support a Roman Tam Music Scholarship at the Royal Conservatory of Music. |
| March 17th, 1992 | The Honourable Henry N.R. Jackman, the new Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, accepted to replace the Honourable Lincoln Alexander as the Special Honorary Patron of the Foundation, during the term of his office for the next 5 years. |
| February 29th, 1992 | The FCCP Annual Chinese New Year Ball donated over $2,000 to the Education Foundation through a donation of $5 per attendee. |
| May 31st, 1991 | The Foundation Trust Fund stood over $400,000. Income from this was supporting over 40 scholarships and awards. 21 students had benefited from the interest-free student loans program to date. |
| February 1st, 1990 | The Foundation continued to enjoy free office space after the lease was extended for another 2 years, with the rent donated by H.T. Chan & Sons. |
| August 20th, 1989 | The Foundation was the beneficiary of the 1989 Mandarin Club Charity Run, which netted over $16,000. |
| June, 1989 | The Foundation started to administer a special Chinese Student Relief Fund, on behalf of the FCCP Board, to help needy students from China (12 students benefited from the fund of over --$10,000. The program finished in 1991. |

| 1988 | The Honourable Lincoln M. Alexander, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, became a Special Honorary Patron of the Foundation. |

| September 9th, 1983 | The application to Revenue Canada was approved. The Foundation officially became a REGISTERED CHARITY as of June 1, 1983. (Registration No. 0656181-25-13) |
| June, 1982 | The Foundation solicited individual donations to cooperate with the Toronto Chinese Business Association in setting up the Postgraduate Fellowship Study in Chinese Canadian History & Culture. After the first year, this has been supported solely by the Foundation. |
| May 31st, 1981 | 5 Trustees were appointed by the FCCP Board of Directors to establish the EDUCATION FOUNDATION. The Trust agreement was signed between the trustees (Dr. Vincent Cheng, Dr. John H.C. Chiu, Dr. Lap Cheung Lee, Mr. Ernest Ng and Mr. Ping T. Tan) and Mr. Frank Chui, then the President of the FCCP Board. The purpose of the Trust Fund to be set up shall solely be for the advancement of Education, including the awards of scholarships and bursaries to students attending universities and other post-secondary institutions in Ontario. It was also stated in the By-Law No. 1, that these awards shall be provided out of the income of the trust fund, and that the regulations under which the candidates shall be selected and the awards made shall be those laid down by the appropriate authority of the university of institution designated by the trustees from time to time. |
